Abstract: Simulation games typically provide students with a surrogate of hands-on decision making in various areas. These include management, logistics, and military strategy/tactics. However, in such games, student participants have not experienced model to observe and typically share and equal and great ignorance of the desired target behavior. One likely way to improve the learning process in simulation games is to include a knowledgeable player as one of the teams - that is, provide a player who already knows the behavior to be learned. We discuss our research into developing an expert system as a model player and opponent.
